The insulation in our new home was not up to standard so I called David at Mr Insulation to find out what improvements we could make and to get a quote.

David came out to the house within a few days and gave a full appraisal of the house in terms of heat loss and energy efficiency. He clearly is very knowledgeable and passionate about his field and offered lots of great advice on how to make improvements with an eye on the budget at the same time. He also gave recommendations for other suppliers and tradespeople which was very helpful.

We opted to install ThermaFleece wool insulation as a first step and David assisted with applying for funding through HES; once the application was approved he came back a few days later to install the insulation. The area was left tidy and the job was done well. The wool product is clearly excellent quality, so much better than the mineral alternatives and much better for the environment and for farmers.

All in all a top class service from David; I highly recommend.

Thank you Mr insulation to introduce the sheep wool insulation to our new home.
I recently installed sheep wool wall insulation in my new house, and I am honestly very impressed with the results. Even though my house is not yet fully complete, it already feels remarkably warm and comfortable inside.
The insulation keeps the heat in extremely well and makes a big difference in maintaining a stable temperature throughout the day. I was surprised how effective it is, especially for the price - it's great value for money compared to other insulation materials.

He put down sheeps wool insulation in our loft and it's great stuff. We contacted David at the beginning of our journey to improving our home's energy performance. David gave us a lot of advice about various measures to do this. He and his team did a great job upgrading our insulation with Thermafleece and the resulting reduction in heat loss will help reduce heating costs with our new air source heat pump system. Access to the area requiring to be insulated was not easy but the work was carried out quickly and with minimal disruption.
We would definitely recommend David and his team and the Thermafleece they installed.

Great experience all around! David was really helpful throughout the process, a joiner came out very quickly to do some measuring up, the quotes came through really quickly and David helped lead us through the Grant applications which can be a bit of a minefield. The thermafleece product is great and from the research we did feels very suitable for an older property the house was noticeably warmer before the plasterboard even went back on the walls and we've managed to have the thermostat set between 16 and 17 degrees since - in the house never feels cold. Very satisfied with the service provided.

Would like to put on record my thanks to “Mr Insulation” for his advice regarding my request for a quote to insulate my loft. After reviewing the situation David suggested I would be better off renewing/upgrading my radiators instead of going ahead with topping up my loft insulation. We recently had Thermafleece and wool insulation installed in our walls, underfloor and loft and are extremely pleased with the results. Even after a few weeks we have noticed the difference, the house is so much warmer and we have been able to turn the thermostat down even during the recent cold spell.
All through the process David and his team have been professional and very helpful. The disruption was minimal, no fuss or mess. We recently had insulation installed and have definitely noticed an improvement.
Insulation was fitted under the downstairs suspended flooring and to increase the loft insulation from 100mm to 300mm.
The initial impression in October 2024 was that the radiators didn't need to get as hot as before to maintain a comfortable temperature in the house.
Since then, we have just had the very cold spell in November and the house stayed at a comfortable temperature without having to turn the thermostat up as much as previous winters.
So far so good.

I wanted to leave a review for the excellent service I received from the Energy Saving Store and in particular, the help and support David gave. I moved into a new build that had a very expensive 12kw boiler which was expensive and inefficient to run. I contacted the Energy Saving Store for support and David was very helpful and understood my situation and suggested changing to heat source. Within months, the system was installed and I was astonished to see monthly bills drop by more than half. The best thing is it actually feels hot and I have to open a window now whereas before I would have never contemplated that ever. On top of that David also noticed my light bulbs were not energy efficient and changed those also. I cannot thank him enough for helping me.

He organised an installer to sort foam loft insulation in our very complicated 120yr old cottage. David explained the house needs a woolly hat on its head, we have just had the spray foam insulation done and what a difference. Our home is cosy and warm now. So glad we took his impartial advice and he was involved to guide us correctly. We will probably get a new boiler shortly, also a quality installer was passed to us and a local guy. David Morrison came and gave the house an "M.O.T" and right from the start he started saving us money.
Lightbulbs replaced with energy saving bulbs.
We are contemplating changing from storage heaters to Air source pumps,
But not 100% convinced.
However after David explained the government funding of up-to £10000 interest free loan with £7500 cash back (perhaps 60% given on drawdown on agreeing installation),as well as RHI payments as well as massive savings on electric bills as well as a much smaller carbon footprint,we are no longer contemplating but its definite "we are changing to air source pump heating and hot water .
If you want to know anything about greener energy and what benefits,grants you could be entitled to or ways to save you money on energy bills then make sure you speak to David his enthusiasm to save you money and be greener is contagious and rightly so

I emailed Mr. Insulation asking if they could carry out an EPC on a rented property I own as soon as.
The property was vacant and I needed done as soon as to fulfill my obligations for Registration of Scottish Landlords.
I was contacted by David and I gave him key safe code since i was not local to said property.
Next evening got a call saying all had been done and bulbs replaced to fit energy saving criteria. Oh and a bit more advice and banter!
Now that is service.
I have other properties so I will undoubtedly be using the company again.

We contacted David least year to help us navigate claiming back money through the Renewable Heating Incentive, as the process was so complicated!
We found this so helpful that we got him out again to do a home MOT for us, to see where we could save energy and money.
